Acletta is an independent interim and advisory firm founded by
Marilou Pauwels and Joachim Driessen,
We focus on complex turnarounds, corporate finance, and HR. We are seasoned professionals in management and HR with a track record of senior management positions in publishing, food, retail, sports, e-commerce, and real estate.
We strive to help you find solutions for interim HR/CEO roles, raising growth capital, advising on complex turnarounds, or simply chairing challenging meetings.

Marilou Pauwels
is a seasoned HR professional with a track record in restructuring food and retail firms and engaging in union negotiations. She worked as an HR business partner for 20 years at Royal Ahold and subsequently held senior management positions at Sanoma, Coca-Cola, Bakkersland, Royal Euroma, and Lamb Weston Meijer.
Passion, integrity, and focus are her core values. Making change happen in a way that satisfies all stakeholders: people are the heart of a company. Marilou has a master’s degree in HR from Tilburg University and an MBA in Leadership & Sustainability from Cumbria University.
In her spare time, Marilou is a passionate climber and mountaineer. She has climbed three of the Seven Summits on Earth.

Joachim Driessen
graduated from Amsterdam University with a degree in economics. After six years at the Dutch Royal Mail, he moved to the publishing sector, holding senior management and CEO positions at Royal Wegener, Wolters Kluwer, and Sanoma. In 2009, Joachim started his own publishing company, Blink, which featured well-known brands such as National Geographic Junior and several primary and secondary school learning cycles. He sold the company in 2018.
Since 2009, Joachim has also developed Acletta as an interim management firm, taking on assignments as interim CEO for companies such as MYbusinessmedia and Wydawnictwo Szkolnych i Pedagogicznych.
Joachim was chairman of the Dutch Climbing & Mountaineering Federation (NKBV) for over ten years and now fulfills several (international) sports positions at the IFSC and UIAA. Since 2019, Joachim has chaired a housing cooperative in Amsterdam.
Joachim’s core values include growing both profit and non-profit organizations while considering all stakeholders, straightforwardness, and a can-do mentality.
